About

The Scientific and Technological Council of ABICANN is responsible for providing technical guidance on research, innovation, regulation, and professional training in the fields of Medicinal Cannabis and Industrial Hemp in Brazil.

Composed of researchers, scientists, and specialists in health, agriculture, environment, and technology, the Council serves as a reference body to ensure scientific rigor, transparency, and credibility in the initiatives led by the Association.

Council Responsibilities:

  • Define technical criteria for validating cannabis genetics
  • Evaluate Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) projects submitted by members and institutional partners
  • Publish technical reports and bulletins to support strategic decisions by companies, governments, and society
  • Support the training of professionals and the establishment of an innovative and sustainable bioeconomy
